
What is the Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice Service?
Our Macmillan team provide an advice service for people affected by cancer. If you or someone close to you has been diagnosed with cancer, money might not be one of the first things you think about. But having cancer can be expensive. Your income may go down and your expenses may go up. If you are struggling to cope with the financial impact of cancer, remember there is help available.
How does this service differ from general advice?
This is a specialist service for clients and their families in our community affected by cancer.
How do I access this service?
If you live in Mendip, Sedgemoor, or South Somerset:
- Ask your Macmillan or cancer nurse specialist to make a referral to us. or
- Refer yourself to the Macmillan team by using our email advice form, or
- Call us on 01935 847666 and leave a message if necessary
If you live in Taunton or West Somerset:
- Ask your Macmillan or cancer nurse specialist to make a referral to us, or
- Refer yourself to the Macmillan team by using our email advice form, or
- Call us on 01823 448960 and leave a message if necessary
